2009 European Year of Creativity and Innovation

We have read the proyect of European Year of creativity and inovation and these are the main ideas:

1. The European comission, manages the general interests of the Union ( it proposes legislation to Parliament and the Council, administers and implements Community policies, to enforce Community law and negotiates international agreements).
2. The aim of the Council of Europe is to achieve a greater unity between its members. The  menber states:The Council of Europe has a genuine pan-European dimension: 47 members countries and 1 applicant country: Belarus; Belarus ‘ special guest status has been suspended due to its lack of respect for human rights and democratic principles. Some important aims are: to protect human rights, pluralist democracy and the rule of law; to consolidate democratic stability in Europe by backing political, legislative and constitutional reform.
   The main component parts of the Council of Europe are:  the Committee of Ministers,the Parliamentary Assembly,the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and  Secretary General.
